The Crowns of Kornati (Krune)

The "crowns" (krune) are the trademark of the Kornati: a chain of steep cliffs with which the outer islands face the open Adriatic. The highest, at Cape Klobučar, drops around 80 metres almost vertically into the sea. From the boat or the summit paths, the crowns offer one of the most dramatic views on the Croatian coast – especially in the soft light of late afternoon.
