Pašman · Dalmatia – Zadar
Pašman Island
Place of interestFree entryAbout this place
Pašman is a green, tranquil island in the Zadar archipelago, directly opposite Biograd na Moru. It is linked to the neighbouring island of Ugljan by the Ždrelac bridge, while a car ferry runs from Tkon to Biograd. Unlike the barren Kornati, Pašman is densely covered with pine forests, olive groves and vineyards. The island is regarded as one of the areas with the cleanest sea in the Adriatic – the Pašman channel is renewed almost completely twice a day by strong tidal currents. Small villages such as Tkon, Pašman, Kraj, Ždrelac, Banj and Neviđane line the coast and invite a slow-paced holiday away from mass tourism.
Good to know
Getting there: car ferry Biograd–Tkon (approx. 20–25 min, several times a day) or via the Ugljan bridge. A car or bicycle is handy on the island as the villages are spread out.
