The Gradska tržnica – known to locals as the 'Pijaca' – is Zadar's traditional produce market in the heart of the old town, close to the ancient city walls. Its stalls brim with fresh fruit, vegetables and other local products from the region. It is at its liveliest in the morning, when traders and shoppers fill the square.
