On a hill above Tkon stands the Benedictine monastery of Ćokovac (Ss. Cosmas and Damian), one of the most important spiritual centres of the Croatian Benedictines, where the Glagolitic tradition is still maintained today. The Gothic monastery church holds a rare painted crucifix from the 14th century. From the monastery the view stretches across the Pašman channel to Biograd and the offshore islands.
Good to know
Reachable on foot from Tkon in about 20–30 minutes uphill. Modest dress is appreciated; opening hours may be limited outside the season.
