At the far end of Zadar's Riva promenade, the Sea Organ turns the sea itself into a musical instrument. Beneath its wide marble steps lie 35 organ pipes, through which the waves and wind press an ever-changing, gentle melody. Designed by architect Nikola Bašić, it invites you to simply sit on the steps and listen to the Adriatic play.
Good to know
Freely accessible at any hour. It is most magical at sunset, when the neighbouring 'Greeting to the Sun' begins to glow.
