At the foot of St. Donatus Church lies the Roman Forum, the largest on the Croatian Adriatic coast. Some two thousand years ago this broad square was the political and social heart of the Roman town. Today you can wander freely among the exposed foundations and stone fragments, while a tall ancient column still recalls its former grandeur.
